Installing the DDL Script:

1. Make sure your web host runs PHP (most servers do).
2. Create a file with a ".php" extension (example: index.php).
3. Add the following line of code where you want your downloads list to appear:

Note: It's recommended that you use CSS stylesheets to adjust the color of the text, links, and page backgrounds. By default, all text and links are 10px in size. On mouseover (hover) links become underlined.

Installing the Search Box:

The Search Box allows your visitors to search for files from your live DDL database. If you want to use a search box on your site, you will have to add two separate chunks of code on your page -- one for the search box and one for the DDL list.

Question: My DDL doesn't work, nothing shows up on my page, or I get errors.

Answer: Some webhost's (particularly free hosts) do not allow remote document access. This would typically be set for security purposes. You would have to ask your host to allow remote document access on your account. Another solution is to create a file called ".htaccess" and add the following line to it:
